The Simplified CCD differs from the complete CCD on the following aspects:
- it contains only character entries in simplified script. If a character has a traditional version that has a different form, then that is given behind the simplified entry, and placed between square brackets.
- example words and phrases are entirely in simplified script.
The arrangement of characters and the look-up method for finding characters is entirely similar to that of the complete CCD. See General Remarks for more info.
The introduction, the Main Components Table and the series headers tables have all been adapted were necessary.
