The Simplified CCD differs from the complete CCD in the following:
- it contains only character entries in simplified script. If a character has a traditional version with a different form, then that is placed between square brackets behind the simplified entry.
- example words and phrases are entirely in simplified script.
The arrangement of characters and the look-up method for finding characters is similar to that of the complete CCD. See ‘How to use the CCD?’ for more info.
The introduction, the Main Components Table and the series headers tables have all been adapted where necessary.
